Our Services
MCSB can supply all of the services that you would expect from a highly competent marine consultancy. We can also tailor our scope to meet each clients particular needs providing either; third party assurance, consulting, marine project management or engineering and project execution services as required.
As an experienced provider of Marine Warranty Surveys, MCSB can reduce customer and underwriter risk whilst adding value to the project as a whole. We can ensure that engineering and preparation activities are all in order and survey the vessels and equipment to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
Our knowledge of DP technical and assurance processes allows us to advise clients and owners during the concept, construction and operational phases of all DP Vessels.
We can provide DP system specifications, analyse power control and distribution systems, supervise DP vessel construction and conversion, organise and document trials and FMEA's, investigate DP failures and develop DP operating procedures.
MCSB can provide customers with a solid base of experience of pipeline and sub-sea installation activities that can be used to optimise the design and installation of sub-sea production facilities. We can perform installation analyses, verify or perform supporting engineering, supervise installation operations and provide assurance, consulting or project management services.
Based upon our in depth experience of tankers and FPSO’s, we can assist our Customers with all the marine and naval architectural aspects of concept, design, construction, installation and operation of Floating Production and Oil Transportation facilities.
We can offer years of experience with the marine operations, mooring, towing andinstallation activitiesrequired for semi-submersible and self elevating platforms.
We can offer the highest quality of personnel to assist with marine risk safety and environmental audits, accident investigations, valuations, due diligence audits and expert witness services. We will produce high quality reports, presentations and general technical support. These services all help either to prevent accidents or reduce their impact if they do occur.
We also owned and licensed to operate latest up to date version MOSES engineering software. With MOSES we can do the following:
-
Ballasting Analysis
Ballasting analysis is an engineering calculations which is related to load-out, transportation and installation. When a module (topside/jacket/etc.) is moved from jetty to vessel/barge (which is called load-out operation), obviously vessel/barge will have trim or heel which is caused by imbalance of the modules weight that have moved and also due to tides. A ballasting operation is required to keep barge even keel (same level) with jetty elevation during load-out operation. -
Stability Analysis
Stability analysis is an engineering calculation to check how a ship behaves at sea, both in still water and in waves. The output of this analysis is a range of stability (in degree) which is compared with international codes/standard such as IMO, DNV codes, ABS codes, etc. A vessel can be assumed to have a good stability if the range of her stability is higher than minimum criteria which is stated in international codes/standards -
Longitudinal Bending Check
Longitudinal bending analysis is performed to check adequacy of longitudinal framing of vessel/barge due to cargo weight on deck and compared with allowable barge strength. Longitudinal bending check is very critical during load-out and transportation. The longitudinal bending should be checked in Still Water, Sagging and Hogging condition. -
Motion Analysis (Frequency Domain and Time Domain)
Motion analysis is performed to check behavior of vessel/barge at sea, especially during transportation/voyage due to wave, current and wind load that applied on the vessel hull and vessel sub structure. The output of this analysis are “vessel motion six degree of freedom” which is consist of translation motion (heave, sway and surge) and rotation motion (roll, pitch and yaw). These vessel motions are useful as input for sea fastening calculation of cargo/module during transportation. -
Mooring Analysis (Frequency Domain and Time Domain)
The aim of this analysis are to check adequacy of mooring system of vessel/MODU/barge due to environmental load (wind, wave and current) that applied on the vessel hull and vessel sub structure. All mooring equipment strength (mooring line, mooring winch, anchor, bollard, etc.) will check against international code/standard.
We specialized in the marketing and sales of special offshore and subsea assets such as jack-up barges, derrick lay barges, pipe-lay barges, AHC cranes and other offshore cranes, winches, ROV, accommodation modules etc.
Furthermore, we can be your partner for the transport of specialized equipment world-wide including cable-transportation with cable carousels, heavy lift and even submersible operations.
